Pete Nily
Center Manager

Pete started his aviation career in 1981 at a large 141 flight school in Long Beach, California. After only 3 years Pete became the General Manager of the business which included the 141 Flight School, 135 On Demand Charter Company and 145 Aircraft Repair Station. Eventually Pete went on to fly for a Regional Airline before moving to Iowa to manage a small airport, his own flight school and staring his family. Pete came to FlightSafety as an instructor, once again in Long Beach. In his FlightSafety Career Pete has held the positions of Instructor, Program Manager, Director of Standards, Assistant Center Manager, Center Manager, Regional Director Training Operation, Assistant Director Training Operations and finally Director Media Technology Management Operations.

James Champley
Assistant Center Manager

James joined FlightSafety Academy in 2005 and has held various positions such as Program Manager, Assistant Chief Flight Instructor and Assistant Director of JAA Programs. In 2007, he was selected for the "Best of one of the Best" instructor award, an award presented to FlightSafety International's top 50 Flight Instructors.

James holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and Latin American Studies from the University of Michigan.

Don Doohen
Director of Aircraft Maintenance

Don started as an aircraft mechanic at FlightSafety Academy in 1977 and was named the 2001 FAA Orlando Flight Standards District Office Aviation Maintenance Technician of the Year.

Alan Haaland
Director of Standards

Alan originally joined FlightSafety in May of 1978 after serving four years in the U.S. Air Force. He began as a Flight Instructor and later held the positions of Assistant Director of Academics, Assistant Chief Instructor as well as Chief Flight Instructor before assuming his current position.

Brian Jenkins
Sales Manager, Academy

Brian has more than 20 years' experience in aviation sales and marketing and has worked with regional, national and international airlines. In addition to his commercial pilot license, he holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Marquette University where he majored in Finance and Marketing and holds an Associate's in Aviation Maintenance - A&P from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He is currently pursuing a Master's in Business Administration, Aviation from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.

Robin Meehan
Accounting Manager

Robin began her career at FlightSafety in 2008 as a bookkeeper. She was promoted to Accounting Supervisor in 2009 and then Accounting Manager in 2012. Prior to coming to FlightSafety, Robin worked in various accounting positions. Most recently, she was the Treasurer and Controller of a resort and marina, and held the position of Treasurer and Controller of a private Country Club. She has managed the accounting functions for medical operations, manufacturing companies, and worked as a staff accountant for an accounting firm.

Robin graduated from Bryant University in Rhode Island with a Cum Laude degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting.

Autumn Sanders, PHR, SHRM-CP
Teammate Resources Generalist

Autumn joined FlightSafety Academy in 2014 with more than 15 years of human resource and training experience. She is a Florida native who has HR generalist and marketing experience with an extensive background as a Corporate Training Manager for a workers' compensation carrier. Her responsibilities include all human resource functions for the 150 plus teammates of FlightSafety Academy.

Autumn holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications from Florida Atlantic University, a Professional in Human Resources designation and is a SHRM-Certified Professional. She is an active member of the Treasure Coast Human Resource Association.

Jeff Devlin
Director of Student Services and Academic Operations

Jeff joined the FlightSafety Academy team in 2019. He was a pilot for Delta Air Lines and retired from the U.S. Marine Corps as a Lieutenant Colonel. Jeff served as an F-18 pilot, flew combat operations over Bosnia-Herzegovina, and deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. He also served as an instructor pilot, teaching students how to fly and employ the F-18. After retiring from the Marines, Jeff earned a master's degree in Youth Development Leadership from Clemson University.

Jennifer Penn
Student Services and Immigration Manager

Jennifer began her career with FlightSafety in May of 2008 as a Marketing Assistant. In January 2010, Jennifer was promoted to Immigration Coordinator followed by FSI Immigration Coordinator and Academy Housing Manager in November 2017. Her responsibilities include managing the F-1/M-1 VISA process and ensuring proper TSA clearances for incoming and existing international students. Jennifer is the Primary Designated School Official for SEVP (Student and Exchange Visitor Program) and the Administrator for TSA (Transportation and Security Administration) at the Academy. In addition, Jennifer is the SEVP PDSO and company SME for SEVP approved FlightSafety International Learning Centers overseeing a team of SEVP DSO teammates assisting international clients in their ability to train with FlightSafety International.

Jennifer also oversees student housing and works to provide availability and coordination for incoming students as well as solutions for off-campus opportunities. Jennifer was born in Germany while her parents were stationed abroad in the United States Air Force. Her higher education led her to graduate on the Dean's List at Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and a minor in Advertising in April 2008.

Kimberly Boykin
QC/ACO/ACR/Dispatch/Scheduling Manager

Kim has worked for FlightSafety Academy for 20 years, maintaining and coordinating the Quality Management System as the Quality Coordinator for 8 years, conducting internal and complying with external audits, training teammates for QMS, dispatch and scheduling Supervisor, ACO Manager for 8 years enrolling students, creation of all logbooks/TCO entry, verifying and releasing students for TSA. Kim also has special permission to hold the ACR certificate for all license distribution at the Academy.
