Nancy Ritter
Center Manager

Nancy is originally from Long Island, New York. In October of 1992 she joined FlightSafety Academy as a student, later becoming a flight instructor. Nancy continued her career at FlightSafety Academy as a Program Manager, Assistant Chief Pilot, Chief Pilot and currently remains the Director of Training for both Part 141 and 142 training. In May of 2013, Nancy was promoted to Center Manager.

Nancy received Air Force Officer training in Texas and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Science and Management from St. Francis College of Brooklyn.

James Champley
Assistant Center Manager

James joined FlightSafety Academy in 2005 and has held various positions such as Program Manager, Assistant Chief Flight Instructor and Assistant Director of JAA Programs. In 2007, he was selected for the "Best of one of the Best" instructor award, an award presented to FlightSafety International's top 50 Flight Instructors.

James holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and Latin American Studies from the University of Michigan.

Don Doohen
Director of Aircraft Maintenance

Don started as an aircraft mechanic at FlightSafety Academy in 1977 and was named the 2001 FAA Orlando Flight Standards District Office Aviation Maintenance Technician of the Year.

Alan Haaland
Director of Standards

Alan originally joined FlightSafety in May of 1978 after serving four years in the U.S. Air Force. He began as a Flight Instructor and later held the positions of Assistant Director of Academics, Assistant Chief Instructor as well as Chief Flight Instructor before assuming his current position.

Jay Elder
Director of Sales and Marketing

Jay is originally from New Jersey where he started his flying. He moved to Ft. Lauderdale in 1980, became a commercial pilot and a flight instructor and has since been involved in the management and marketing of several large flight schools. Jay originally joined FlightSafety in 1998 and has recently returned to his role as head of the marketing team for the Academy.

Jay studied English and History at St. Lawrence University in upstate New York.

Stephanie Lowery
Student Services Coordinator

Born and raised in Vero Beach, Stephanie is one of the true natives of Vero Beach! She earned her degree in Business Management from Indian River State College and first joined the FlightSafety Academy Marketing Team in July of 1999. She held various positions within the Marketing and Sales Department such as Marketing Associate, Marketing Representative, Relationship Representative, Product Marketing Manager and Sales Manager. Now as the Student Services Coordinator, Stephanie has an opportunity to interact and assist our students throughout the duration of their training. The Student Services Department at FlightSafety Academy includes Admissions, Immigration, Housing, Training Monitoring and Student Assistance.

Robin Meehan
Accounting Manager

Robin began her career at FlightSafety in 2008 as a bookkeeper. She was promoted to Accounting Supervisor in 2009 and then Accounting Manager in 2012. Prior to coming to FlightSafety, Robin worked in various accounting positions. Most recently, she was the Treasurer and Controller of a resort and marina, and held the position of Treasurer and Controller of a private Country Club. She has managed the accounting functions for medical operations, manufacturing companies, and worked as a staff accountant for an accounting firm.

Robin graduated from Bryant University in Rhode Island with a Cum Laude degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting.

Autumn Sanders, PHR, SHRM-CP
Teammate Resource Administrator

Autumn joined FlightSafety Academy in 2014 with more than 15 years of human resource and training experience. She is a Florida native who has HR generalist and marketing experience with an extensive background as a Corporate Training Manager for a workers' compensation carrier. Her responsibilities include all human resource functions for the 150 plus teammates of FlightSafety Academy.

Autumn holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications from Florida Atlantic University, a Professional in Human Resources designation and is a SHRM-Certified Professional. She is an active member of the Treasure Coast Human Resource Association.

Jennifer Seton
Immigration Coordinator

Jennifer began her career with FlightSafety in May of 2008 as a Marketing Assistant. In January 2010, Jennifer was promoted to Immigration Coordinator. Her responsibilities include managing the F-1/M-1 VISA process and ensuring TSA clearances for incoming and existing international students. Jennifer is the Primary Designated School Official for SEVP (Student and Exchange Visitor Program) and the Administrator for TSA (Transportation and Security Administration) at the Academy. In addition, Jennifer is the SEVP PDSO for several FlightSafety International Learning Centers overseeing a team of SEVP DSO teammates.

Jennifer was born in Germany while her parents were stationed abroad in the United States Air Force. Her higher education led her to graduate on the Dean's List at Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and a minor in Advertising in April 2008.
