Although FlightSafety Academy's training programs do not result in a college degree, it is possible for academy graduates to receive college credit towards a four year degree at several different colleges/universities.   • Dedicated Fleet
    FlightSafety Academy owns and operates more than 85 single and multi-engine Piper aircraft for the exclusive use of our students. With an ongoing fleet upgrade program in place students can be assured of dependable and standardized aircraft. Our staff of professional aircraft engineers personally maintains our fleet under the Academy's FAA Part 145 Approved Repair Station authorization. Our maintenance program consists of a progressive inspection schedule resulting in aircraft inspections every 60 hours instead of the FAA recommended frequency of every 100 hours.

    FlightSafety Academy is approved by the Federal Aviation Administration; by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for F-1 and M-1 VISA training for international students; as well as being accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC).     On-site advanced training devices and a large well maintained and dedicated training fleet in non-congested airspace provide students with maximum training experiences. Vero Beach, Florida is a quiet and well maintained community where both the weather and costs are beneficial to student life. Our on-campus housing provides close access to training equipment, labs, library and the flight line. Our large fleet is located at our exclusive training base, conveniently situated on Vero Beach's Municipal Airport, allowing students to achieve the highest levels of performance and efficiency possible.

  • Advanced Training Equipment
    All Academy training tools, classrooms, aircraft, and training devices are located on-site for the exclusive use of our cadets at the Vero Beach Academy. These education and training tools include: FRASCA 142 visual flight trainers, a dedicated PCATD training lab, and an exclusive ATC Communications Lab. The Academy also offers access to turbine powered aircraft. We often customize training programs for airlines and operators based on their specific requirements and are able to incorporate a vast array of training in conjunction with FlightSafety International and its over 40 Learning Centers and over 300 simulators.

  • Self Examining Authority
    The Academy has been awarded a Self-Examining Authority by the FAA, for many of our FAR Part 141 programs. We also provide the ability to take FAA written exams on site allowing students with immediate results.
